About us

SPORT is a sport’s newspaper that came into being on 3 November 1979 in Barcelona and became the first Catalan newspaper to become a Barcelonese reference that, from its beginnings, has been able to connect the feelings, desires and concerns of the Barcelonese community like no other medium.

A team of more than 60 people make up the SPORT newspaper, including journalists, technicians, layout designers, designers and management.

SPORT analyses and disseminates sports content for both print and web and offers all its readers current news, reports, opinion, interviews, videos, TV listings and lotteries.

In addition, and since 2004, SPORT organizes, together with the Barça Academy, the Campus Barça Academy SPORT. A campus designed for all the boys and girls who want to enjoy, during the summer, their favorite sport, fulfilling the dream of doing it in the club they love the most, Barça.

The campus promotes the values of sport, such as discipline, respect, teamwork, fair play, responsibility and humility.
